ProfitOps — Privacy Policy

Who we are

ProfitOps ("we", "us") is a Shopify app operated by CloudChecker at profitops.cloudchecker.app. This policy explains how we handle merchant and shop data when you install the app.

What data we collect

• Shop domain, installed timestamp, plan tier
• Products, variants, and inventory levels (read-only)
• Orders and line items from the last 90 days (read-only)
• Merchant-entered data: product costs, app costs, settings

We do not collect customer personal information, payment method data, or anything outside the Shopify API scopes listed during install.

How we use it

Data is used exclusively to calculate profit, margin, inventory flags, and recommendations for the authorized shop. We never share or sell it to third parties. Aggregate, anonymized metrics may be used internally to improve the product.

GDPR webhooks

We implement the three mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks — customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Upon shop/redact we permanently delete every row associated with the shop within 48 hours.

Retention

Data is retained for the lifetime of the installation. On uninstall, we begin a 30-day soft-delete window and then purge everything.

Security

All traffic is served over HTTPS via Let's Encrypt. Database access is private, protected by strong passwords and network ACLs. Backups are retained for 14 days and encrypted at rest.
